Green CO2 Systems

A CO2 monitoring system that watches the room so nobody has to

A CO2 monitoring system is not optional equipment on a site storing micro bulk CO2 in an occupied building. CO2 is heavier than air, it collects in low spaces, and it is odorless, which is exactly why a person cannot be the detector.

What the system does

Sensors sit at the height CO2 actually collects, not at eye level where it is convenient to mount them. When concentration climbs, the system warns. If it keeps climbing, it alarms audibly and visually and shuts the supply.

The LogiCO2 MK9 sensor drives a life-safety shutoff at 5000 ppm with strobe and horn outputs. A central unit runs up to twelve of those sensors from one control point, with live PPM readings, so a multi-room site is one system rather than twelve unconnected boxes.

  • Sensors placed at collection height, not mounting convenience
  • Life-safety shutoff at 5000 ppm
  • Strobe and horn alarm outputs for occupied spaces
  • One central unit controls up to twelve sensors
  • Real time PPM readings rather than a warning light

Remote telemetry, which is a different job

Alarms protect people. Telemetry protects your service. It reports your CO2 and nitrogen levels back to us wirelessly, with customizable notifications and mobile app access for your team.

The practical effect is that we usually know you are running low before you do, and a delivery is already moving when you would otherwise have been making a phone call.

Inspections and documentation

The equipment is only half of a passing inspection. The other half is being able to show what is installed, where, at what thresholds, and that it has been serviced. We install to the configuration your jurisdiction expects and leave you with the documentation rather than a pile of parts.

For cultivation facilities this is frequently the step that stalls a build, because the alarm configuration has to be approved before the room can be signed off.

Servicing

Sensors drift and eventually need replacing. That is a maintenance item, not a fault, and it is covered as part of the service so an out-of-calibration sensor never quietly becomes a non-functioning one.

CO2 monitoring system for restaurant cellars and back rooms

A CO2 monitoring system for restaurant use has to cover the places nobody visits often: the cellar, the walk-in, the store room behind the kitchen. Those are the enclosed low spaces where gas collects.

A commercial CO2 alarm is judged on placement and threshold. A CO2 alarm restaurant staff can hear over service, plus a strobe they can see, is the minimum. A CO2 monitor for restaurants mounted at head height is not doing the job.

Separately, a beverage grade CO2 monitor on the supply side tells us your level so a delivery happens before you run dry.

Three things we fix on most existing installs

When we take over an existing account, the monitoring is usually present and usually compromised in one of these ways.

Mounted at the wrong height

Sensors at eye level report clean air while the floor is not. CO2 sinks, so a high-mounted sensor is close to decorative.

Never serviced

Electrochemical sensors drift and eventually stop responding. Nothing about the appearance of the unit tells you it has stopped working.

Zones missed entirely

The cellar gets a sensor and the walk-in does not, or a second store room added later was never covered.

Common questions

Requirements vary by jurisdiction and by how much CO2 is stored in an occupied space. We install to the configuration your local authority expects, and the assessment covers what applies to your site.

Low, near where the gas would collect, and near the storage and dispensing points. Mounting them high is a common and dangerous mistake, because CO2 sinks.

Yes. One LogiCO2 central unit controls up to twelve MK9 sensors with real time readings from each.
