Green CO2 Systems

Our high pressure micro bulk CO2 system

This is the high pressure co2 system the rest of the service is built around. It remains in the business permanently, eliminating interruption to operations and customer fulfillment, and it is filled from outside so a delivery never reaches your floor.

The Green CO2 Systems high-pressure micro bulk CO2 system: two tall green high pressure cylinders with Green CO2 labels, a gauge manifold on top and an outside fill box on the wall.

Specification

The spec below is what the system actually does. Sizing is set per site from measured consumption.

High pressure cylinder swapping, or low pressure cryogenic systems
Filling
On-site filling through an outside fill box, 24/7
Sizing
Custom tailored to the needs of both small and large venues
Operation
No interruption to business operations or customer fulfillment
Venting
Fully enclosed, no routine venting cycle

The DS6000 differential diverter valve inside it

The DS6000 diverter valve is the patented component that makes enclosed bulk storage possible. It sits on top of the CO2 storage cylinders and connects multiple high pressure rated cylinders into a single bulk system, which can then be filled from outside without ever opening it to atmosphere.

It is part of the system, not a separate product. The valve does nothing without the cylinders, fill box and plumbing around it, so we never sell or lease a DS6000 on its own. It comes installed in the high pressure micro bulk CO2 system.

Function
Connects multiple high pressure rated CO2 cylinders to create bulk storage
Output
Up to 15 CFM at 100 PSI
Filling
On-site filling through an outside fill box without interrupting operations
Purity
Creates a totally enclosed system, reducing impurities and eliminating venting
Service life
Long life span, minimal wear parts, replaceable by Green CO2 Systems technicians
Indication
Physical gauges for basic product level indication
Mounting
Compact, mounts directly to the cylinder system

DS6000 spec sheet, word for word

  • Connects multiple high pressure rated CO2 cylinders to create CO2 bulk storage systems.
  • Enables on-site filling of a CO2 bulk storage system through an outside fill box without interruption to business operations.
  • Eliminates time required by venue or service personnel because changing of cylinders is no longer required.
  • Create a totally enclosed system which reduces the possibility of impurities being introduced and eliminates venting.
  • Superior to other high or low pressure CO2 bulk storage systems.
  • Provides up to 15 CFM at 100 PSI.
  • Unit has a long life span with only minimal wear parts that are easily replaceable by Green CO2 Systems' technicians.
  • Physical Gauges for basic product level indications
  • Compact in size and mounts directly to cylinder system

How the CO2 diverter valve differs from a standard manifold

A conventional CO2 manifold valve joins cylinders together and is opened to atmosphere every time a bottle is changed. Each of those events is an opportunity for moisture and contaminants to enter the gas that ends up in your product.

The DS6000 CO2 diverter valve is differential, which is what lets the bank be refilled from outside without ever breaking the seal. That is the difference between a manifold and an enclosed bulk system, and it is what the patent covers.

What the design is actually solving

Three problems, all of which cost money in different ways. Cylinder handling is a labor and safety cost. Venting is a direct gas cost. Interrupted service during a delivery is a revenue cost.

A permanent enclosed system filled from outside removes all three at once, which is why it is the default recommendation once a site's volume justifies it.

Where it fits

Bars, restaurants, breweries, taprooms, cultivation facilities, convenience stores and commercial pools. Anywhere consumption has outgrown a cylinder rotation.

It is not automatically right for low-volume sites, and we will tell you when cylinder exchange remains the better answer.

Why permanent and enclosed are the two words that matter

A permanent CO2 system stays in the building, which is what removes cylinder handling entirely. A commercial CO2 storage system that is also fully enclosed is what removes the venting loss, because there is no relief cycle bleeding gas between deliveries.

Either alone is a partial fix. An enclosed micro bulk CO2 system delivers both, which is why it is the default recommendation once a site's volume justifies the install.

Common questions

Yes. That is the point of the outside fill box. Filling happens from the exterior wall with nobody entering the occupied part of the building.

Minimal. Wear parts are few and easily replaceable by our technicians, and servicing is part of the account.

No. The DS6000 sits on top of the storage cylinders and only works as part of the full high pressure bulk system, so it is always supplied installed in that system, never as a separate part.

It is designed to connect multiple high pressure rated cylinders as one bulk system. The count is set when your system is sized against your consumption.

For most hospitality and retail applications, comfortably. High-draw applications like brewery packaging days are sized specifically, which is why we spec on peak draw rather than average usage.
